Have one and getting a 2nd one for the odd cold cold temps. Warms up living room and rest of apartment well and quickly. Very surprised and pleased. Getting a 2nd one as temps are making record lows this year and want one to alternate or just in case need 2 going. Most years we never turn on the central heat and recently moved to villa in which the central air has no heater (don't really need it). And even so, why heat up the entire house when you can just run these babies for the room you're in - in this case, it heats up the entire small villa ok.

I bought this heater to make my garage bearable while I'm working in it during the winter. I didn't expect it to warm it up to 70�F, but I expected it to be able to make a noticeable difference in temperature from the outside air. The only way I can tell that it's actually heating anything is by standing less than a foot from the output fan. Even then, it's only warm air, not hot air. The unit claims 1500W power output, which is the same power rating as the replacement fan I bought after I returned this one. My new fan, (a Bionaire BCH9221-UM Tower Ceramic Heater) has the same power rating, but far out-performs the Optimus H-1382.
Another problem I had with the fan was that it didn't turn on until I had the heat setting turned up over halfway. Not that I'd want to run it on any less than full blast, since it barely heats anything even on its max setting.
It may look like a bargain, but I'd spring for something a bit higher quality.

The heater is great as far as heat. The fact that it oscillates is a nice feature. My only negative comment is that it is loud. I would by another.
